The christianbrothers.com.au Site - General
Currently, this site has a number of components:
- Links in different categories to websites relating mainly to the Christian Brothers and Edmund Rice Network activities in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. This area will be drastically re-arranged as I re-work the site.
- A regularly changed news item - currently about the 'rascal' attack on Brother Graeme Leach. Not an immediate priority as it is peripheral to this site's current main aim as a 'portal' or entry point into the world of Christian Brothers and Edmund in Oceania.
- An information Technology Site - with feature story and archives largely drawn from the work of the ITWP. Will be retained, but may be linked to from the members page.
- An overview page with summary information about the Christian Brothers and a short history of their arrival in these parts. Will be retained and linked to from the History page.
My present aim is to re-work the www.christianbrothers.com.au site as a portal on an Oceania scale linking to our existing websites.

Well done. I got into the blogger on the second try. I see that with the website you are first of all concentrating on structure and will look after the pictorial aspects later. That is a good way to go.

I tested most of the links: they came through well. I had problems getting from the links page to the page which contained the comment link. I had to cut and paste. User who are not used to this problem may be discouraged form commenting.
Now that streaming video will, I believe, become more and more common I would like you to see if the host of the website is a streaming server and if so what codecs does it support e.g. real, microsoft (windows media), quicktime, mpeg, flash.
I have done some further research into the streaming area. Aalthough there are still challenges it does hold much for the future as more and more people obtain some form of broadband. There are very simple and effective programs being produced to move into this area.

Thanks Berkeley it is good to see a comprehensive list of Christian Brother associated ministries being placed together on one site.
Yes I would welcome a link to the Edmund Rice Justice Network site where the bulletins can be accessed.
